Introduction
PRWhat is Provisional Registration?
Provisional registration is the process through which newly qualified medical graduates register with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) in order to commence their internship training.
Who can apply?
This online registration system is applicable to local graduates who have successfully completed their MBBS degree at state universities in Sri Lanka, as well as foreign graduates who have successfully completed the ERPM examination conducted by the SLMC.
How often is this service available?
Provisional registration is carried out twice a year under the Main Batch and the Repeat Batch. Applicants are required to complete the registration process through this online portal. For further details regarding provisional registration, applicants are advised to refer to the Medical Ordinance.

Required Documentation
- Scanned copy of your Birth Certificate.
- Scanned copy of your NIC (front side).
- Scanned copy of your NIC (back side).
- Colour photograph (according to the procedure mentioned).
- Scanned copy of your Degree Certificate. (If you have not yet received your Degree Certificate, please upload it once it is received.)
Portal open period and remaining time for submissions.
How to Apply
- This registration process is fully online.
- Complete the application through the online system.
- Enter your details exactly as they appear on your University Dean’s List or the ERPM Pass List.
- Pay the prescribed fee through the integrated payment portal. (Please have a local or international credit/debit card ready.)

- Upload clear files (no blur, no shadows, no cut edges).
- If any document is unclear, verification may be delayed.
- Do not upload passwords or OTP codes.
