Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SLMC e-Services Portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should discontinue use of the portal immediately.

2. Use of the e-Services Portal

The portal is intended for official services provided by the Sri Lanka Medical Council, including but not limited to:

• Provisional registration applications
• Certificate verification requests
• Submission of supporting documents
• Online payments and transaction processing
• Status tracking and communication services

3. User Responsibilities

• Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• Users shall not impersonate another person or submit fraudulent documentation.
• Users must ensure uploaded documents are clear and legible.
• Any misuse of the portal may result in suspension of access and legal action.

4. Electronic Submissions

Applications and declarations submitted electronically through the portal shall be treated as legally valid submissions in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Act No. 19 of 2006 (as amended) of Sri Lanka.

5. Verification and Investigation

The Sri Lanka Medical Council reserves the right to verify any information, documents, qualifications, registrations, or declarations submitted through the portal by contacting local or international institutions, authorities, universities and regulatory bodies where necessary.

6. Payments and Refunds

• All payments made through the portal are processed via authorized payment gateways.
• Users are responsible for ensuring payment information is accurate before submission.
• Fees paid may be non-refundable unless otherwise determined by SLMC policy.
• Submission of payment does not guarantee approval of an application.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information collected through the portal shall be used solely for official administrative, verification, regulatory, and communication purposes of the Sri Lanka Medical Council. SLMC takes reasonable measures to protect submitted information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

8. Service Availability

SLMC strives to maintain uninterrupted availability of the e-Services Portal. However, SLMC does not guarantee that the portal will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted due to maintenance, technical issues, or external factors.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Sri Lanka Medical Council shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on information provided through the portal.

10. Amendments

SLMC reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the portal after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
